The Annual Wabash Valley Exhibition invites artists from six states – Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee – to share their artworks for consideration. Submitted pieces will be reviewed by a jury, with selected works being considered for awards. These chosen artworks will find a home within the walls of the respected Swope Art Museum during the exhibition.
MEET OUR JUROR
Clifford Tresner earned a BFA in Sculpture and Woodworking from Indiana State University and received his MFA from The University of Mississippi in Oxford in 1994.
Tresner is the William D. Hammond Endowed Professor of Liberal Arts, and the Art Program Coordinator at the University of Louisiana Monroe.
Tresner’s awards include Best in Show in the Louisiana Contemporary at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art; a Purchase Award from the Mathews-Sanders Sculpture Garden, Cleveland, MS; a Purchase Award at the 31st Annual McNeese National Works on Paper at McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA; and a Louisiana Division of Arts Fellowship.
Tresner has an extensive exhibition record in drawing, painting, and sculpture at venues including the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Museum, Lafayette LA; Newcomb Gallery, Tulane University; Memphis College of Art; University of Arkansas at Little Rock; Masur Museum of Art, Monroe LA; Huntsville Museum of Art, AL; and the Arthur R. Pierce Gallery, West Virginia Institute of Technology.
